The heart of God loves a persevering worshipper who, though overwhelmed by many troubles, is overwhelmed even more by the beauty of God. --Matt Redman Our Heavenly Father loves us with an extravagant abandon. Passionate, undignified worship is our only reasonable response. --Matt Redman Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” --Matthew 22:37-38 Worship is vitally important to us at the Christian Church at Cogan Station. We include it in our mission statement: “Exalt the Lord in worship.” It is at the heart of our core values: Worship is a lifestyle. Worship is a continuous activity 24/7 in our lives, or at least should be, because of God’s extravagant love for us. From moments of quiet meditation to quick conversations with God in times of crisis to loud expressions of praise in corporate worship experiences, we want to love our God with all our heart, soul, and mind. If you want to go deeper in your worship of God and don’t know how or struggle with the how, talk to Cameron Watford (998-2989 or email) or any member of the worship team. Looking for ways to involve yourself in worship ministry? We would love to have you join one of the following worship ministry teams: Worship Design Team Worship Team (which includes both the Praise Band and the Praise Singers) Drama Team Choir Technical Team (sound, lights, computer operators, etc.) Or, you may want to provide music, a testimony of what God has done in your life, a dramatic monologue, or any other element of worship for one of our worship services or special events.
