“What happens at home is more important that what
happens at church.”
We believe God has given parents the awesome
responsibility of teaching and raising children. At CCCS, we
believe in coming alongside parents and assisting them in
being the spiritual leader in the home. By the time children
reach their teenage years, we hope they will know these 3
principles:
I need to make the wise choice (wisdom)
I can trust God no matter what (faith)
I should treat others the way I want to be
treated (friendship)
Therefore, during the 8:30 am and 10:45 am services
for parents, kids learn about the monthly virtue (taken from
Luke 2:52 – “and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in
favor with God and men.”) through both a large group and
small group time (Junior Growth Cells), where they
participate in games, memory verses, Bible reading, and
prayer.
“Our Jumpstart leaders are competent, caring, and
passionate about walking alongside your child to help you
raise him/her. They will ask your child to memorize one
Bible verse every month as well as give them Godtime Cards
so your child can spend one-on-one time with God throughout
the week reading the Bible and thinking about the monthly
virtue. Jumpstart leaders also intentionally create at least
one outing throughout the year so your child can hang out
with their group and leader socially. Kids LOVE Jumpstart,
and our leaders LOVE families!”
To get started, please go to the registration table in
the back hallway and fill out a registration card. Your
child will get a nametag with a number on it that
cooresponds with the card you get. After the worship
service, please pick up your child at his/her classroom and
hand your card to the Growth Cell Leader.
