The Elementary School stage of life is an extremely
formative time in a child’s life. Much of what they will
learn during these years will be the foundation for their
lives. In Luke 2:52, we learn that “Jesus grew in wisdom and
stature and in favor with God and men.” Therefore, we
partner with parents in helping their elementary school
children learn and know three main principles:
1. I need to make the wise choice (wisdom).
2. I can trust God no matter what (faith).
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated
(friendship).
Jumpstart students worship with their parents/guardians
during the first part of our adult worship services and are
then dismissed to Jumpstart (usually during the offering).
Our Jumpstart volunteers are competent, caring, adults who
are passionate about helping parents raise mature,
Christ-like children. All volunteers in Jumpstart must
complete an application which includes both a criminal
background check and child abuse clearance because we care
about the safety and security of our children. Click

During each Jumpstart Session, we have a large group time
in which a Host and Storyteller share the Bible Lesson in a
dramatic, interactive way with the students. After large
group time, students go to graded Jr. Growth Cells where
their leaders reinforce the Bible Lesson and memory verse
through interactive teaching with games, activities, Bible
reading and prayer.
Along with what we do at church each week, we have take
home papers called Fridge Door sheets. These sheets assist
parents in leading their children spiritually at home during
the week. Along with this, a primary core value at CCCS is
that in order to grow and continue faithful, we must be in
relationship with God during a regular “quite time” which
includes Bible reading, meditation, and prayer. For
Jumpstart students we provide “God-Time Cards” each week
that parents use with their children to have a quite time 4x
a week. We believe that what happens at home is more
important than what happens at church. If you would like more information about Jumpstart,
