Welcome to the Katallasso Family Center located at the Christian Church at Cogan Station.
Katallasso is a Greek word which means “to reconcile.” That’s what the Katallasso Family Center seeks to do: to help a person become reconciled within himself or herself, with those around him or her, or with his or her environment. But, all of these relationships are derived from our common dependence on God and the basic need to be in right relationship with Him.
The Katallasso Family Center offers counseling, educational, and consultation services to individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing uncomfortable situations or feelings or are having difficulties in relationships with other people. Staff at the Center applies Biblical principles and family system theories and intervention techniques to help persons remove the constraints that are causing problems in their lives.

- Couples and Marriage Counseling
- Family Counseling
- Premarital Preparation
- Classes and Seminars
- Resource Center
All of the counseling services are strictly confidential. The Katallasso Family Center follows the ethical principles of Scripture and the Code of Ethics of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
The Katallasso Family Center is under the direction of
Larry E. Freed. Larry serves as one of the pastors at the
Christian Church at Cogan Station. He is a clinical member
and approved supervisor of the American Association for
Marriage and Family Therapy and a member of the American
Association of Christian Counselors. He holds a Doctor of
Ministry degree in Ministry to Marriage and Family from
Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia.
The Center’s services are available to all persons within
the community. To make an appointment, please contact Larry
Freed at 998-2989. You can also check out the resource
library in the reception room across from Larry’s office at
the church. Several books, videos, and brochures are
available for your use.
